Sasha Moinzadeh, OTR/L — Pediatric Occupational Therapist and Founder
Sasha Moinzadeh, OTR/L, is a licensed Pediatric Occupational Therapist with advanced specialization in pediatric OT and hand therapy. She is deeply committed to supporting children and families through evidence-based and compassionate care. Sasha’s approach blends her clinical expertise with an enduring curiosity for learning—she actively participates in national and regional pediatric occupational therapy conferences and continually seeks out specialized training to ensure the children and families she serves reach their fullest potential.
Sasha founded Thrive Pediatric Clinic (formerly Bellevue Pediatric Therapy in 2005). She earned her degree in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University in 2000 and holds a dual degree in Psychology, with an emphasis in Child and Adolescent Development.
Professional Background and Clinical Expertise
She began her Occupational Therapy career in hand therapy after attending a specialized internship at Petzoldt Memorial Hand Therapy in Cupertino, CA. Early in her career, she was selected to serve as Disneyland’s resident hand therapist, where she treated on-site employees—including the beloved characters “Mickey , Minnie Mouse and the Disney Princesses including Snow White and Belle” —for overuse injuries and repetitive autograph signings. She has worked in an array of pediatric settings such as pediatric early intervention (Kids Street, Long Beach, CA) a school based setting (Santa Ana School District) and later was brought on board to develop and grow two OT programs within two pediatric therapy clinics from the ground up (Tustin Speech & Language in Tustin California and Mosaic Children's Clinic that was sold to iCan in Bellevue Washington). Sasha is a lifelong learner and she is active on the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) as well as an active member of the local Sensory Integration professional group. She values collaboration with parents, other providers and teachers to treat the whole child and therefore a strong proponent of parent and educator training seminars. She has partnered with many schools and daycares in her area to further collaborate and create professional and parent education seminars to enhance learning for all (Bright Horizons, The Little School, The Jewish Day School and more).
Certifications and Advanced Training
Sasha received her formal Sensory Integration training and Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT) certification in 2004. She also completed mentorship training with Dr. Lucy Jane Miller at the STAR Center in Denver, Colorado, in 2007. She holds advanced certifications in multiple evidence-based approaches, including:
Sasha also integrates principles of Positive Psychology into her therapeutic work to support the child’s overall emotional well-being and resilience.
Personal Interests and Community Involvement
Outside of her professional life, Sasha finds joy in spending time with her husband and two daughters, extended family and true friends—whether swimming, playing tennis, squash, or traveling all together.
She is a passionate advocate for community service and has devoted her time and resources to numerous local nonprofit organizations, including Hopelink, Eastside Baby Corner, and Bellevue Lifespring (“Uncork the Night” Official Sponsor, 2018 and 2019), as well as One Circle (2024 Sponsorship).
As a former Girl Scout, Sasha continues to give back by serving as Troop Leader for Troop #45338 (2015 -2018) fostering leadership and confidence in young girls. She has also volunteered as a Bellevue Boys and Girls Club volleyball coach for several seasons, encouraging teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship.
Sasha wholeheartedly enjoys cooking nutritious meals and pursuing lifelong learning—values she integrates into her therapeutic philosophy to help children and families thrive both in therapy and in life.
